IPHA Annual Conference 2026

The IPHA Annual Conference 2026 took place on Wednesday, March 4th at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre, bringing together over 500 delegates from across healthcare, industry, government and academia. This year’s theme, “Steering Through Disruption,” reflected the rapidly evolving landscape facing healthcare systems, innovation, and medicines access.

The conference was expertly emceed by journalist and broadcaster Matt Cooper, guiding a series of insightful discussions on some of the most pressing issues facing the sector today. Expert panels explored topics including EU competitiveness, the growing challenge of misinformation and disinformation in healthcare, and Ireland’s priorities as it prepares for its upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The recently signed Framework Agreement on the Supply and Pricing of Medicines also provided an important backdrop to discussions throughout the day. Speakers and stakeholders emphasised the shared ambition of ensuring that patients in Ireland can benefit from timely and equitable access to new and innovative medicines, while supporting a sustainable and resilient healthcare system.

The conference opened with addresses from IPHA President Shane Ryan and Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, setting the tone for a day of constructive dialogue and collaboration.
