IPHA has launched a new video focused on medicines manufacturing and the supply chain during COVID-19

May 1, 2020

IPHA has launched a new video focused on medicines manufacturing and the supply chain during COVID-19.

The video features voices from many of Ireland’s top research-based biopharmaceutical companies highlighting their work in continuing to make and supply medicines during the pandemic.

As the country stays apart, our industry keeps working, manufacturing medicines for global supply and ensuring they get to the patients who need them.

The biopharmaceutical industry has deep roots in Ireland, with small and large-molecule manufacturing happening at sites across the regions.

This activity generates high-quality jobs and fuels export-led economic activity. The strength of our industry is really valuable to Ireland in the economic shock caused by COVID-19. Perhaps more importantly, our work in manufacturing and the supply chain is ensuring there are clinical options available to patients and their doctors during the health emergency.

Our industry is here for Ireland in the crisis. And, in the recovery, when it comes, we’ll be here too, driving economic growth and better health outcomes.
