The Future of Medicines in Europe

On Wednesday 26th April the European Commission published its legislative proposal for the pharmaceutical review, the first in two decades. Their strategy is set to bring about significant changes to the EU biopharmaceutical and healthcare sector. The legislative measures included in the strategy will present the sector with both challenges and opportunities in the areas of innovation, competitiveness, access to medicines, shortages and intellectual property

Wellness in Society, Health Systems and Industry

Self-care means each of us having a stake in managing our own health and wellbeing. It is an integral part of the healthcare system. By having an active role in our health, we can reduce pressure on the entire healthcare system and own how well we feel. Health systems need to work efficiently, with each part of it giving appropriate care and counsel. Each of us in society wants to feel well. When we don’t, self-care products, like medicines that don’t need a prescription, food supplements and devices, are available to help us to get back to normal.
