25th March 2009 - IPHA Switch-On to Self-Care Roundtable
The IPHA Switch-on to Self-Care Roundtable brought together all stakeholders involved in self-care to discuss the role and benefits of self-care to the healthcare system and public health in Ireland. 13th May 2008 - IPHA / IPPOSI Clinical Research Infrastructure in Ireland Conference
The IPHA / IPPOSI Conference, “Clinical Research Infrastructure in Ireland: Remaining Barriers, Potential Solutions” held in Dublin Castle brought together 250 participants from science, industry, patients’ organisations, state bodies and the health sector. Participants heard from an eminent panel of speakers about how enhancing the clinical research environment in Ireland will accelerate the translation of recent advances in science into new ways of understanding disease, into new diagnostics and new medicines to treat illness which will benefit all patients.

26th May 2004 - Restoring Industry Competitiveness: A Key To a Healthy Europe
This year, the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), of which the IPHA is a member, held its annual meeting in Dublin on 26-28 May. The theme of the meeting was "Restoring Industry Competitiveness: A Key To a Healthy Europe" and was attended by over 400 delegates from across the world. One of the main points made throughout the meeting was that the future of the European pharmaceutical industry was uncertain as many European States fail to recognise the vast opportunities and benefits that the industry offers.

27th March 2003 - Turning Research into Cures
The Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA) sponsored the 3rd Annual Meeting of the Irish Platform of Patient Organisations, Science & Industry (IPPOSI) on Thursday 27th March 2003. IPPOSI, which is an informal group of thirteen charities involved in research promotion in Ireland, is modelled on the European Platform for Patients' Organisations, Science and Industry (EPPOSI). The title of the meeting was "Turning Research into Cures", and it focused on initiatives to create a world class legislative, regulatory and practical environment to expedite the development of therapies in Ireland.
