IPHA response to ESRI Budget Perspectives (2012)
The supply of medicines to the health services by pharmaceutical companies has been governed by a series of agreements between the State and the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA), on behalf of the international research-based pharmaceutical industry. The current agreement was implemented in September 2006 and will run until March 2012. During its time, it is estimated that it will have delivered savings to the State of over €300 million.

Latest CD–ROM edition of medicines.ie launched
The Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA) has launched the 2011/2012 version of its highly successful medicines.ie CD-ROM.

IPHA launches medicines.ie on facebook - first time such information on Irish medicines available there
This morning IPHA launched medicines.ie on facebook. This means that independently approved, high quality information on medicines in Ireland is now available on facebook for the first time.

IPHA launches the 2010/2011 edition of medicines.ie on CD-ROM
The Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA) is pleased to announce the release of themedicines.ie CD-ROM Version 2010/2011. The CD-ROM (1), which is a copy of medicines.ie, is sent annually, free of charge, to over 7,000 GPs, consultants, nurse prescribers, nursing homes, community and hospital pharmacists in Ireland. It is primarily designed for those who do not have ready internet access in their place of work. Like medicines.ie the CD-ROM provides Irish-specific and reliable, IMB/EMA approved information on over 2,000 medicines currently available in Ireland (2).

IPHA Statement on the Report on a Proposed Model for Reference Pricing and Generic Substitution
The Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA) notes the publication of the report on a proposed model for Reference Pricing and Generic Substitution and looks forward to further discussions with the Department of Health and Children (DoHC) on the matter.

The Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA), the representative body for the international research-based pharmaceutical industry in Ireland, welcomes the publication of the Clinical Research Roadmap by the Irish Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ICRIN) which defines the necessary steps Ireland needs to take to create a sustainable national system to support clinical research.
