IPHA launches "Self-Care First" framework in conjunction with IPU: IPHA and IPU have come together to launch the "Self-Care First" framework document in the Davenport Hotel, Dublin on 20th September, 2012.
IPHA hosts briefing session for patient groups: IPHA hosted a meeting on 23rd May 2012 with representatives of the various patient groups in the Davenport Hotel, to brief them on the proposed new Health (Pricing and Supply of Medical Goods) Bill which was due to be published by the Government in June.
1st December 2011 - IPHA Annual Meeting - Bringing the best to Healthcare through partnership and innovation: The 18th IPHA Annual Meeting took place on the 1st December 2011 in the Aviva Stadium, Lansdowne Road, Dublin. The meeting, which was officially opened by Mr. Seán Sherlock T.D., Minister for Research and Innovation looked at plans to overhaul the health service and introduce a universal health insurance system based on the Dutch model. It also examined in detail how investment and innovation in the international research-based pharmaceutical industry in this country is not only a key driver of economic growth, but is also central to the best health outcomes for Irish patients, while securing value for money.
