International Activities

IPHA is a member of several international organisations. These include:

 

European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA)
The European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) represents the manufacturers of prescription medicines at European level. Its members included national pharmaceutical industry associations throughout Europe and 45 companies undertaking research, development and manufacture of medicinal products in Europe for human use.

Association of the European Self-Medication Industry (AESGP)
The Association of the European Self-Medication Industry (AESGP) is the representative body of non-prescription medicines manufacturers in Europe. It was founded in 1964 to contribute to the development of responsible self-medication at European level.

International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA)
The International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA) represents the international research-based pharmaceutical industry and other manufacturers of medicines which are intended for sale as prescription items or under the supervision of healthcare professionals. IFPMA is a non-governmental organisation which is officially recognised by the World Health Organisation. Its members include pharmaceutical industry associations in over 50 countries worldwide.

Global Health Progress
The Global Health Progress initiative, sponsored by the international research-based pharmaceutical industry, seeks to bring research-based pharmaceutical companies and global health leaders together to improve health in the developing world.
