medicines.ie is a free service that enables you to find out more about the medicines you may be taking. Covering both prescription and non-prescription medicines, medicines.ie provides you with comprehensive, independently approved information on medicines available in Ireland today.

Master Your Medicines
The "Master Your Medicines - a Guide to Help Older People Know More About their Medicines" booklet aims to help older know more their medicines to ensure that they get the best from them. It also includes useful information on the Personal Information Pack (PIP) and a Patient Medication Record which may be used to write down the details of all medicines one is taking.

Medicines Reminder Chart
If you are taking several medicines together, it can be difficult to keep track of when to take each of them. The 'Medicines Reminder Chart' is useful tool to help people to remember to take their medicines.

"Feel Better - a Guide to Managing Your Minor Ailments Effectively" booklet aims to assist patients in managing their minor ailments effectively. It also includes useful information on the proper storage and use of medicines.

‘Tips for Taking Medicines’ highlights the importance of being informed about the medicines you are taking, by carefully reading the label and leaflet and by talking to your doctor or pharmacist if unsure about any aspect of your medication.

Ask Your Pharmacist About Pain Relief
The "Ask Your Pharmacist About Pain Relief" leaflet advises people on the safe use of pain relievers and invites them to speak to their pharmacist on the appropriate use of codeine, which is contained in a wide range of pain relievers and available from pharmacies without a prescription.

The "Important Information on Paracetamol" leaflet explains that paracetamol is safe and effective in both adults and children when taken exactly as directed on the pack.

The IFPMA Clinical Trials Portal is a single entry point allowing patients to search for comprehensive information on on-going clinical trials (registry) or results of completed trials (database) conducted by the international research-based pharmaceutical industry.
