Charity Events Archive

Information on the various events organised by the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association in support of charities in Ireland and abroad. To date theIPHA has raised in excess of €230,000 for deserving causes.

2009 - Name a Puppy, Change a Life: Over €12,500 was raised at the 11th IPHA charity golf event, in aid of the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.
2008 - Niall Mellon Township Trust: Over €22,000 was raised at the 10th IPHA Charity Event, in aid of the Niall Mellon Township Trust. A total of 23 teams entered the event at the Glen of the Downs Golf Club, Delgany, Co Wicklow. This brings the total raised by IPHA in the last 10 years, for various deserving causes, to over €210,000.
2007 - Irish Hospice Foundation: Over €23,000 was raised at the 9th IPHA Charity Event, in aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation which took place on Monday 23rd July. A total of 20 teams took part in the event at the Glen of the Downs Golf Club, Delgany, Co Wicklow. This brings the total raised by IPHA in the last 9 years, for various deserving causes, to €193,500.
2006 - St John of God College of Mental Health Services, Malawi: Over €32,000 was raised at the 8th IPHA Charity Event, in aid of the St John of God College of Mental Health Services, Malawi which took place in June.
2005 - Aisling Return to Ireland Project: The 7th IPHA Charity Golf Classic, in aid of the Aisling Return to Ireland Project took place this year on Thursday 23rd June.
2004 - St John of God Children's Centre, Malawi: The 5th IPHA Charity Event and Sponsored Walk, in aid of the St John of God Children's Centre, Malawi, took place Thursday 24th June 2004. This year's event was a huge success with €21,000 raised for the Centre which is currently under construction.
2003 - Special Olympics Ireland: The Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA) raised over €51,000 for Ireland's Special Olympics fund for 2003. Twenty one of IPHA's member companies donated generously to what was one of Ireland' biggest and most prestigious sporting events to date.
2003 - Threshold: The IPHA Charity Event and Sponsored Walk took place this year on Friday 27th June. Over €25,000 was raised for this year's worthy beneficiary, Threshold. Threshold is a charitable organisation founded in 1978 by Father Donal O'Mahony ofm Cap as a peace and justice project, working in the area of housing and homelessness. IPHA were delighted to support this very worthy charity.
