As with any major public health initiative of this scale, it is important that stakeholders undertake a careful analysis of the response. This will help enhance future preparedness, by building on those areas that were successful, and improving those that were less so. Codeine medicines are relied on by thousands of people each year to provide short term pain relief/management of certain conditions.
